| Choosing Northwestern Mutual
I was a banker, working as a trust officer in training. I decided on a career with Northwestern Mutual because I wanted an virtually unlimited income potential with control over my schedule.
Watching others succeed financially is the greatest reward. On a daily basis, I appreciate most the ability I have to impact others' lives.
The greatest challenge I think is the patience it takes to wait for the career to develop. In the first few years, the biggest challenge for me was waiting to see if I was going to make it in this career. Once that was accomplished, it was waiting for others to see me as their financial professional.
I've learned that I respect mature people who protect their families and their dreams.
It only takes one death claim check on the major breadwinner to shape or complete your attitude in this career.
Key Milestones and Some Career Advice
My first career milestone was when my residuals paid all of my overhead. The second was when the residuals outgrew my first year income. I received the National Sales Achievement Award 1989-2000. I was also a Million Dollar Round Table Qualifying Member 1995-1996, 1998-2005. In 2004, I became a Million Dollar Round Table Life Member. I also received the National Quality Award 1992-1996, 1999-2005.
