A Rewarding Career Choice
I actually was a college intern with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network but didn't go fulltime with them right out of college. I took a job with a bank as a credit manager and I did high interest lending. After 11 months, I knew I needed to go back to Northwestern Mutual and give the Financial Representative position a try. Three years have gone by and I haven't had to look back.

The greatest reward is a tie between being able to help people plan for their futures and achieve their goals. I have also been able to provide a certain life style for my family.

Overcoming the Challenges 
The greatest challenge is staying motivated being your own boss and I've overcome this with a fear of failure.

The biggest challenge in my first few years was the fear of the phone. I didn't want to call or didn't like to call but knew I had to -- or be out of business. So I did it and every day that I set my five appointments I felt great!

Since I began with Northwestern Mutual, I've learned I am extremely passionate about this industry. I found out how hard working, extremely driven and self motivated I really am. It is my fear of failure that drives me, and found that I am needed.

Making a Difference 
We make a difference in people's lives every day by helping people and impacting their current lives and their future.

Milestones and Accomplishments 
I achieved Million Dollar Round Table in my first full calendar year as a Financial Representative and I opened my own office in my hometown within the first one-and-a-half years. I look forward to growing my practice in Watertown and having several representatives working out of my office.

Some Career Advice 
If you would like an opportunity to be your own boss, have your own business, have virtually unlimited earning potential, want to help and teach people, provide a great lifestyle for your family and want personal and financial freedom (after you put your time in and earn it), then come join in the fun.

Come on board. Think big. Have a vision. Give this career 110% effort and you can get 120% back from it.  

You must come in disciplined, work hard and follow the process that has worked for 149 years. If you enjoy building long-lasting relationships and helping people, you can do this.

Outside of Work 
I like to spend time with my wife and five children, play softball, volleyball, golf, get together with friends and enjoy the outdoors.  

I am an active member at my church and participate in a group called the Networking Community.
