Discovering the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network
Before I became a Financial Representative I was in the food service industry. I found that I enjoyed sales and found Northwestern Mutual Financial Network at a sales job fair.

The greatest reward has been personal growth in all areas of my life. My confidence, my health and even my marriage has benefited.

The challenge has been having a true understanding of what it takes on a daily basis to get my business off to a fast start and having the confidence to do it.

But I've learned I can grow and be successful.

A Time I Made a Difference
I met a school teacher who had recently been divorced. Her husband always took care of their financial world. When I first met with her, she told me that she felt lost and did not know what to do. After spending a couple of hours with her finding all I could about what was important to her, I set an appointment to see her the following week.

Life insurance and saving for her retirement were the two most important issues for her. When I came back and showed her how I could help her and stay within her budget, she started to cry. I was stunned at first and then she reached across the table and grabbed my hand and said, "I'm so glad I met you."

She signed applications and put the programs into place. As I went to shake her hand as I was leaving, she hugged me and thanked me for taking the time to call her and helping her.

As I was walking to my car, my feet were not even touching the ground. It was there and then that I knew I had picked to right career with the right company.

Looking Forward
My goal is to make Million Dollar Round Table.

If you're considering this career, be committed to working hard, use lots of joint work, use the system that is taught to you, and stay positive.

The strength of the company, the training and support, and the terrific people that surround you are what differentiates Northwestern Mutual from the others in the financial services business.

I switched to this career and to the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network when I was 50 years old. I now feel like I am 30 and wished that I had made this move when I was 30.

Outside of Work
My wife and two daughters are my number one priority. I am involved in their middle and high school.
