Deciding on the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network
Before I became a Financial Representative, I owned a real estate management company and I was a corporate management consultant.

I find it rewarding to be in a position to reach my goals while helping others reach theirs.

The challenge in this career is putting aside the ups and downs of the business and being consistent and, since I'm in the first couple years in the business, learning as much as I can.

So far, I've learned that I'm most gratified when I'm helping others, but I also have significant personal needs.

I look forward to Million Dollar Round Table and Forum membership of course, but overall, I want to improve my business both in practice and revenue every year.

To date I've received Pacesetter 40, Bronze, 75 lives, and been chosen as a member of the LEAD program and the 214th Fastrack Academy.

Career Advice
The career you choose is one of the three biggest choices you have an opportunity to make, so consider it carefully, make a decision and give it everything you have.

While it's a difficult business, it's a simple business. Above all -- follow the system. The system works.

At the Network, it's not what we do, it's why we do it that makes us different. I think every time we conduct a Fact Finder we've made a difference in someone's life. The fact that we help them address the direct, uncomfortable issues we do is very impactful.

Outside of Work
I founded an international non-profit organization that sets up volunteer surgical clinics in Nepal. I'm also a volunteer wild-land firefighter.

I enjoy fly fishing, cooking and spending time with my family.
