I joined the Hoopis Financial Group as a college intern at the age of 19.  I saw the tremendous impact my father, Harry Hoopis, has had in this business for almost 40 years.  I knew this was something I wanted to do.

 

The biggest challenge I faced was starting the business at such a young age.  Without any experience, I had to trust and believe in the system and work closely with my managers to ensure success.  Early on I learned that hard work, strong ethics and a commitment to excellence are all essential characteristics needed for a successful career.

 

The greatest reward is working with my clients to help them achieve their financial dreams and seeing those dreams come to reality. In a short 10 year career, I have been able to assist the beneficiaries of two insureds, to receive their benefit amounts, and have assisted another client with their disability claim.

 

Words of advice I would offer to someone starting this career would be to believe in yourself, the process and Northwestern Mutual's products. I have been a 2004 and 2005 qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table and am now focused on growing an organization of MDRT producers. MDRT is the premiere association of financial professionals. MDRT status designation is granted for one year and members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with MDRT.

 

When not working, I like to spend time with my family traveling, golfing and skiing. I am involved with such charitable organizations as Bread for the World and Christian Children's Fund.
