| Before Northwestern Mutual
Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Robert McGuffey worked at Sears, Roebuck & Company's corporate office as an assistant sales manager.
Early Years
Robert faced a challenge common to many representatives starting out, finances. His level of income was a challenge during the early stages of his Financial Representative career. This Work Matters
A good friend and client of Robert's lost her new husband shortly after they were married. The life insurance benefit she received helped keep her life together. Since then, she's purchased additional products to protect herself.
Robert McGuffey finds great satisfaction in helping his clients protect their families. He's learned that the people he works with trust him to do what's right for them.
Career milestones
Robert is looking forward to attaining top 10 status as a senior financial representative. He was a top ten representative his first year in the business. Robert is also a Million Dollar Round Table Life Member qualifying for membership in 1993-1994 and 1996-2006. Million Dollar Round Table is the premier association of financial professionals.
Words of Advice
Though this career can offer many rewards, Robert feels it's important to carefully look at the financial representative opportunity. Though great rewards are possible, there can be pitfalls along the way. He offers, "Stand fast, work hard, do what you are told to do and you can achieve beyond your wildest dreams."
Why Northwestern Mutual?
Robert feels Northwestern Mutual distinguishes itself from others in the financial services industry because the company and its representatives do what they say they will do.
Beyond Work Robert keeps busy outside of work volunteering at his church and for the U.S.O. He also enjoys photography. |
