| Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, I was CFO and shareholder of a closely-held concrete products business doing in excess of $50 million in annual sales.
I knew, first hand, the value and benefit of life insurance in addressing the business and estate planning issues in a closely-held business and I wanted to spend the second half of my career helping people solve similar problems.
I joined the Network in 1987 as a financial representative and have concentrated my practice in the estate and business planning areas. In addition to serving my own clientele, I am an Estate & Business Planning Specialist with my local network office.
Rewards/Challenges
Both the greatest reward and greatest challenge in my career has revolved around life insurance; helping people and businesses solve problems that only life insurance can provide while helping people understand the need for life insurance and then getting them to take action.

For those considering the career, Northwestern Mutual is recognized industry-wide for its financial strength and professionalism. If you want to be a part of the Network, be prepared to study hard and work hard.
I look forward to becoming a Senior Financial Representative in another year and continuing to help younger, less experienced representatives become proficient in the business and estate planning uses of insurance.
