Before becoming a Financial Representative, I managed a restaurant. 

 

I find the greatest reward in this career is helping young individuals and families achieve financial independence and meeting new people every day.

The career has its challenges, too, such as maintaining balance and staying focused on the factors that lead to success. Early in the career, it was challenging to learn how to manage an inconsistent source of income and establish the necessary discipline to escrow for taxes.
  
Along the way, I've reaffirmed that if I put my mind into whatever it is that I am doing, I can get anything accomplished.
 
A Time I Made a Difference
I was able to provide someone who had suffered from a disabling accident with additional disability insurance coverage through exercising an option while simultaneously assisting her in filing for a backdated claim.

Looking Forward and Some Career Advice
I look forward to qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table, completing my Chartered Financial Consultant designation and becoming a Forum Representative.

If you're considering this as a career, work hard, approach the business from an almost missionary viewpoint and always do what is in your client's best interest.
