| A Financial Representative Career
Victor Millner worked for 13 years in hospitality management before deciding to join Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a Financial Representative. This career move afforded him the opportunity to better control his time, spending more of it with his growing family.
Advice to Offer
Victor offers this advice:
"The best advice I can offer a new Financial Representative would be to follow all the steps of the training to really implement the system in their own business and to listen closely to their mentor/s, as they are able to serve in such a capacity because they've already made the system work for them in their own business."
Rewards vs. Challenges
One of the greatest rewards Victor Millner's career as a Financial Representative presented has been the ability to impact his clients' lives in a meaningful manner while maintaining the ability to enhance the lives of his own family.
Learning how to successfully manage a growing business provides the biggest challenge Victor Millner faces as a Financial Representative.
During his early years with the network, Victor found it difficult to generate sufficient revenue to hire and maintain the staff he needed to successfully grow his practice while still maintaining his own household expenses.
Choosing Northwestern Mutual
Northwestern Mutual distinguishes itself from other companies in the industry with the strength of their products and commitment to ethics.
Learning Experience
Since joining the Network, Victor learned his biggest obstacle can be his own doubts about his abilities. Conversely, one of his greatest assets is his own determination toward success and achieving his goals.
Goals
Victor Millner works towards the goal of being able to take six months of the year away from his practice, knowing that his staff can and will maintain the growth they need for further success.
Beyond Work Outside of work, Victor spends his time largely with family. Boating is a favorite group activity. Aside from that, Victor Millner is active in his church, as well as with the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and other community outreach programs. |
